العودة للأساسيات : الزي التقليدي الكويتي

مرحبا قرائي

موضوع اليوم غير معتاد من ناحية الموضة ولكنه آساسي في الحياة اليومية للرجل الخليجي

طبعا في الخليج الرجال معروف عنهم حسن اهتمامهم بهندامهم و اناقتهم تتم بلبس الزي التقليدي

موضوع الملابس التقليدية الخليجية المعاصرة لا يوجد عليه تركيز بسبب الاعلام الغربي الذي يتركز حول ما ينتج كما هي الحال مع جميع المواضيع

ولكن ساذكر هنا الاساسيات و سأتوسع في الموضوع كلما استطعت ان اضيف، عموما كل دولة خليجية لها زي يميزها ولكن الاساس واحد و هو

الدشداشة او الثوب او الكندورة و هو قميص طويل يشبه الى حد ما القفطان لمن لا يعلم او لم يراه من قبل

و غطاء الرآس و هو نوعا ما يتشابه في الكويت و البحرين و السعودية و قطر

و عمان الامارات قد يتشابه في بعض المناطق و يصبح كعمامه او قبعة

و يضاف للزي البشت الذي في اغلب الاحيان يلبس لتآدية غرض معين كحفلة او مناسبة و هو يصنع عادة من شعر الجمال اوالصوف

و النجدية كلباس للقدم

قد يبدو جميع من يلبس الزي الخليجي متشابه لمن لايعلم ولكنه مختلف و كآي شيء اخر هناك من يرتديه بحرفيه و هناك من يرتديه لأنه ملزوم بآرتدائه في وقت معين

و سأغطي اليوم الدشداشة الكويتيه

لباس الرأس و يأتي من ثلاث قطع

القحفية

و هو عباره عن قبعة خفيف خيوطها متشابكة

الغترة

و هو قطعة القماش البيضاء القطنية التي تلبس فوق الرأس و قد تكون منقطة بالأحمر او الاسود و تسمي شماغ و الشماغ اثقل نوعا ما و اسهل في التعامل من الغتره

العقال

و هو محبوك من الصوف الأسود عادة يلبس فوق الغترة او الشماغ و هناك نوع يدخل في صناعتة عيدان خشبية “المقصب” يرتديه الامراء و الحكام ولكن لا نراه اليوم

 

ثم تأتي الدشداشة و هي كما ذكرت قبل تشبه القميص الطويل و بلا أكمام

عموما الرجل الكويتي يفضل ارتداء الدشداشة البيضاء خلال الصيف مع اختلاف درجاتها اما في الشتاء فهو يتجه للألوان الداكنة

كدرجات الاسود و الرمادي و البني

الدشداشة لها ملابس داخلية خاصه و هي بأختصار تيشيرت ذات اكمام قصيرة و شورت داخلي مع بنطال يسمي المكسر

و انا حاولت ان ارتدي الزي لاجرب شعور مرتديه فما رآيكم في محاولتي :»» ؟

Back to Basics : Kuwaiti Traditional Fashion!

Hello Readers,

today’s subject although it is going to be new when it comes to fashion yet it is very essential in the middle east and specially in the gulf region.

the Arab gulf men, known for their sense of style and fashion, usually we focus on the western fashion and style because of the media and the stronger presence they have just like every other subject.

but the basics of the “Khaleeji Fashion” are simple yet they have a strong impact and not everyone without a good knowledge can tell if the “Khaleeji” guy in front of him is well dressed or not.

to cover the basics all the countries in the gulf region agrees on two things even if they might have slight differences in style and they are,

1- Head piece “Ghirtra- Shmagh- Amamah”

2-Thawb “Dishasha – Kandora” whatever you may call it, it basically looks like a Kaftan.

please note that men wears thawb or dishdasha while women wear Abaya or Dra’a don’t mix those two together .

3- Occasionally men wears Bisht “ it is like a long coat made from Camels Hair or Goats and sheep”

4-the shoe which is basically something between a sandal and a flipflop “Najdia”

now like any fashion and style, the occasion is what calls what and how to dress although to outsiders everything might look the same, but we know what is for what and this is why this post is done, to highlight the differences.

in this post I’m only covering Kuwait, and it will be a series of posts covering the G.C.C countries.

The Head piece

it comes from three parts :

1- Gahfia

it is a small Knitted cap to hold the ghitra,

2-Ghitra

it is a white piece of cloth , sometimes can come in dotted red or black  and called (Shmagh) but in Kuwait they prefer to wear the white one.

3-E’egal

it is a the black rounded head piece that holds everything together, made basically made from wool.

the dishdasha usually is worn in kuwait in different shades of white during the summer while a lot of them change to darker colours, like shades of grey and black or brown during winter.

there is a special underwear worn with the dishdasha like the white shirt flannel and the cotton boxer , along with a long pants called “Mkasar”

and so I tried it what do you think?

Tartine Picnic

Hello Everyone,

the other day I received a sweet picnic basket as an invitation to a picnic organised by Tartine Sandwich boutique

so when the time has arrived we went to the event and we understood that everything was made just as if a client has made an order to have a picnic

they arrange everything from tent to lights to entertainment to bonfire and most of it all is the scrumptious food,

tartine is a 100% Kuwaiti brand that has a big future ahead, although they are depending now on delivery and catering picnics, bonfires, chalets and private parties I know that when they decide to a dine-in branch it will be hit because the food is so good.

what more would a person ask for other than the good mood and the good mood?
